September : Stonger together

We’re kicking off September by continuing our strength work on the 8-Rep Front Squat and Push Press. After establishing our baseline the week of August 3rd, we’ll continue building strength with a mix of volume and tempo work before we retest both lifts the week of September 7th.

From there, we’ll move into a transition phase for our strength for the remainder of September. Each week will feature a heavy squat and barbell complex, giving athletes the chance to “build to a heavy” and continue putting their strength to the test. Our next official strength cycle begins the week of October 5th, when we’ll make our final push toward the end of the year. This cycle will include a baseline test and retest. All of the details for this next cycle will be coming soon.

In our workouts for the month, we kick off the first week of September with a 2026 CrossFit Games week, featuring a mix of Games workouts adapted to the appropriate Gym level. September also brings the Hero workout Daniel on Labor Day, along with a special 9/11 tribute workout on September 11th.

And finally, don’t miss this month’s Monthly Challenge! This one is a partner effort, because some goals are better tackled together. Grab a partner and get after it!
